As per requested..

Over summer I stumbled across this website of a Liverpool based illustrator who's work interested me -

There was also a animation festival in Barnsley which i wished to attend but couldn't make it to so i tryed to find some of the animations on the internet. One which i did find and liked was this -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmR0V6s3NKk , It reminds me of the visual explanation brief we had last year.
One animation i looked for but couldnt find was called 'Pig Me' from what i read and stills i saw from it, it looked like something i'd enjoy, however i did find the animations creators blog - http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=da&u=http://www.pig-me.blogspot.com/&ei=eMyXSpO2KN3ajQfZ5fCfBQ&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dpig-me.blogspot.com%26hl%3Den%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7ADBF - I found this usefull as it shows some of the sketches for the animation and they write about some of the process's they went through prior to creating the animtion, which I still really want to see. I really like the style of drawing used -

And finally - something fun i enjoyed -

Here are some of the animations we covered in 1st year.

Vr W/Animation Y1 - Foundation Studio

Foundation Studio -

Foundation Studio was the core module of the year with only 2 seperate projects over the academic year, the first brief, entitled "Visual Explanation, and second entitled "Play" Both very open briefs to interprate how we wanted. The aim was not to a produce a final project for the brief but be able to convey an idea, Storyborads, working examples, etc.

Foudation Studio; Visual Explanation -

For visual studies i chose a very straight forward subject of Evolution. It's always been a subject that interests me. I wanted to portray an animation that would help to show younger children where thoerys of evolution come from and what they are based on, showing them in a way they would understand.

Foundation Studio - 'Play'

The 'Play' Project was a joint project with Danielle Pollitt. We were designing an online co-op game. Some of the inspirations for this type of game was the PS3's LittleBig Planet and PC's The Sims and online aspects from the likes of World Of Warcraft. The charcters were spiders and the levels were based aroudn thier enviroments.
